Jakarta Head Dept. of Health, Koesmedi Priharto, said the community health center (puskesmas) quality is as good as  private clinic in Indonesia.

Many people still have bad image with puskesmas

He appeals the citizens to give vaccine for their child at puskesmas.

“Many people still have bad image with puskesmas. In fact, the quality is better compared to private clinics,” he said, Monday (7/18).

He admitted that many citizens giving vaccine to their child at clinic or hospital due to its side effect. Moreover, puskesmas gives vaccine freely.

Vaccine taken from PT Bio Farma, which is supplied for puskesmas, gives side effect such as fever. But it is normal.

There are nine primary vaccines for toddlers. Those are tetanus, BCG, DPT 1-3, Polio, measles, hepatitis, and influenza.
